Exercise ideas from home is a great idea if you are looking for something inexpensive and pretty simple to do.  When it comes to wanting really good health and becoming our normal weight, the plain truth is we can’t expect it if we don’t move!

Here are some exercise ideas you can do from home, just work them into your day when and as you see fit.

I did go to a gym which I didn’t enjoy all that much.  I changed gym’s to one that was much more user friendly and my measurements were going down… but eventually I just got sick of it.  If you want to go to a gym and you can keep it up, year in and year out… good onya… I think that’s great, but I want to concentrate more on the things I can do at home which cause me to “move”!

After all, it’s movement our body requires and a bit of weight resistance.  Anyway, this is what I do, in no particular order:

  1. Go for walks
  2. Jump on a Mini TrampolineIdeas for exercising from home
  3. Swing off doorjamb stretch
  4. Dance to your favourite music
  5. Take the stairs
  6. Park further away
  7. Gardening
  8. House cleaning
  9. Posture Exercises
  10. Walk around the verandah
  11. Barbells
  12. Kegal Exercises for strong pelvic floor muscles
  13. Kick/throw the ball for the dog… he’ll make sure you receive plenty of exercise!
  14. Tai Chi

I’m sure there are many more exercise ideas from home we could come up with that are simple and inexpensive. Got any ideas?

  3. What a really cute idea you have here. Love the verandah and the way it wraps right around the house! I can see it wouldn’t matter what type of weather was going on round about you could still walk around and around. Unfortunately we don’t have a deck or a verandah 🙁 But you have given me some ideas about how I could set up a route through the house then I’d have no excuse would i?

    • No, no excuse at all! But it’s a great idea to work out a route… I’ve done it before and it’s worked for me. Let me know how you go and what you do as I’d love to hear 🙂

  4. good gym work will give better results dont be slack get out and work a sweat

    • Yes I’m sure gym work is very beneficial. I went to the gym myself for quite a long time. Where I live now is a bit of a treck to the local gym and I find timewise it’s better for me to concentrate on what I can do at home. It’s fun really.
